We have had to say goodbye to Jumper this week as she was hit by a car and killed in the early morning hours of January 31, 2010.
As much as our pets cause aggravation at times, they are loyal partners and friends that love unconditionally. Jumper was full of energy and kept us on our toes at all times. When we moved to Ohio in 2008, part of what we looked for in a house was a fenced in back yard so that Jumper could run free and play to her hearts content. After being here for a year, she decided that over a 1/2 acre of yard was not enough area to be happy with and began digging out of the yard and was even spotted climbing the chain link fence to roam the country neighborhood we live in. We were very concerned as we live on a very busy road. We put her in a dog run and would let her out to play when we were outside. When the temperatures dropped to the teens and single digits we brought into the garage. Donna let her out to go potty and within 5 minutes she had escaped once again......this time she didn't make it back home. On Sunday morning Donna spotted her on the side of road. We went back to where she was and brought her home for the last time. There have been a lot of tears since then to now. There is a definite void in the family. It is amazing how much these four legged friends become such an integral part of the family. She is and will be greatly missed. As with anything in life, enjoy the time you have with them, because we just never know what tomorrow holds. Below are a few pictures from the past seven and half years with Jumper. I hope you enjoy them.
